Indian filmstars are everywhere around these days. A day after Anil Kapoor and AR Rahman won accolades for Slumdog Millionaire at the Golden Globe Awards, the cast of Chandni Chowk to China were strutting their stuff in London’s Leicester Square.

“I have really enjoyed myself. I have spent an hour with my fans, signing autographs. I am here because of my fans,” Akshay said.

While actor Roger Yuan who plays Chiang in the film said, “It was a brilliant experience. I loved working with Akshay, Nikhil and Deepika.”

For leading lady, Deepika Padukone, who was dressed in a Tarun Tahiliani ensemble, the premiere at Leicester Square was extra special. Her first film Om Shanti Om was also premiered at the same theatre back in 2007. “This theatre is lucky. London is lucky! Hopefully it will be once again,” an excited Deepika said.

The film is breaking records even before its release. It is all set to have the biggest opening in the US and Canada for a Hindi film – the film will be playing on over 125 screens. Even in the UK, it will open in 80 theatres, setting a new record for a Bollywood film.
